Your privacy matters to us. Ownly collects only what is strictly necessary to provide the service — nothing more.

📋 1. Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to run the app:

  • Email address (for authentication)
  • Display name (optional, set by you)
  • Item data you enter — names, photos, categories, prices, notes
  • Basic crash and error reports (anonymous)
⚠️ We do not collect location data, contacts, or any sensitive personal information.

🎯 2. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and sync your inventory across devices
  • To improve app performance and fix bugs
  • We never sell your data to third parties
  • We never use your data for advertising
  • We never share your data with anyone without your consent

🔒 3. Data Storage & Security

  • Your data is stored securely on servers located in Europe (EU)
  • All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest
  • Each user can only access their own data
  • Passwords are hashed using bcrypt — we can never see your password

🇪🇺 4. Your Rights (GDPR)

As a user, you have the following rights:

  • Access — request a copy of your personal data
  • Correction — correct any inaccurate data
  • Deletion — delete your account and all data at any time
  • Portability — export your data in a readable format
  • Objection — object to certain types of data processing

🗑️ 5. Account & Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time directly from the Profile & Settings screen inside the app. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.


🍪 6. Cookies

The Ownly mobile app does not use cookies. The web version may use essential cookies only for authentication purposes.


📢 7. Changes to This Policy

We will notify users of any significant changes to this privacy policy via email or an in-app notification. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
